Why are we selling tube amps? Arenīt they
old-fashioned, expensive, unreliable and weak sounding nostalgia you might ask.
No, quite the opposite, tubes are well alive, fresh and still clearly better
than transistors. There are lots of new designs and fresh tubes released regularly.
A tube amp might be the cheapest way to get a musically satisfying high-end
system. True, there are no 1.990mk tube amps, but for as little as 6.000mk you
can buy what might be the last amp you ever buy! Think about it! 6.000mk as
a once time investment and fresh tubes every 5-10 years (currently well below
1.000mk for all) instead of a new transistor amp every 2-5 years (no matter
what price, you are probably still not satisfied).
When it comes down to reliabilty, it is
all too sad that tube amps in general have gotten a bad rep because of poorly
designed products from several so called "high-end" companys. A properly designed
tube amp can be expected to run for several decades! Yes, you need to change
tubes someday, but thats much cheaper than buying a new one.
As for sound quality, all of our models offer true high-end sound, whith no
limitations. True class A, all but one without feedback and a sound thats alive
and kicking! Not the usual thin, unnatural, sceleton like sound many refer to
as high-end sound.
