The homeport of the Albanus is Sjökvarteret (the Maritime Quarter) in Mariehamn's Eastern Harbour. She cruises mainly in the traditional waters of the Åland galeases: the Åland archipelago and the Archipelago Sea, from Åland to Turku, Helsinki or Stockholm and to Estonia. Occasionally she makes longer cruises around the Baltic.

The sailing season is usually from May to October.
The Albanus sails with youth groups, camp schools, sailing schools, private groups, culture societies, wildlife groups, companies – anybody who interested in a genuine sea experience.
The Albanus is available for evening cruises, day cruises, and cruises lasting 24 hours or longer.
